Follow the yellow brick road ...

Okay, actually, it should be "Follow the Sandstone Brick Road."  Please forgive me if I take a bit of license.  Because this is my blog, and I can.

So there!

Tim (love of my life, maker of my dinner, fixer of my coffee, designer of my cabin) has been working in this HORRENDOUS heat to finish laying the pathway from the patio to the dog yard.  He did a fabulous job!

Look at the top of this picture, to the right.  See anything?  Yup - that's Tim's woodpile.  He *says* it's 1.5 cords, but I am betting that it is closer to 2.  And I'm always right, of course.  Just ask me.

Another view of the path.  Isn't it beeeuuuutttiiiifffuuullll?

Our weather, to put it mildly, STINKS right now (this is a family blog, and while I want to use much stronger language, I won't).  It's hot, it's humid, and there is no rain.  All in all, muchosucko weather.

We have a few things growing.

These are cubanelle peppers (from seeds that my sister bought for Tim!).  Very prolific.  They just keep producing and producing.

My bell peppers (in the back yard.  We have some in the front flower beds, too).

Thank goodness for soybeans.  They grow through all this nasty heat just fine.

And last, but not least, I'm adding this picture just because I love it LOL  Tim found this frame in the clearance bin at Home Depot for $1.99.  It's aged nicely on the fence with the grapevines ;-)

Happy Hot, Dry, Wishing It Was Fall, Monday.
